This training session outlines options for using performance contracting to meet Energy Act 2020 mandates for implementing energy conservation measures (ECM) in covered facilities. Speakers will compare the various performance contracting mechanisms and the use of partnerships on federal projects. The session will review various performance contracting options like energy savings performance contracts (ESPCs), utility energy service contracts (UESCs), ENABLE, and highlight opportunities to leverage funding from programs such as Energy Resilience Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP), AFFECT, and utility rebates and incentives. Attendees will also learn about the tools and training available from the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP), and how to begin the process of initiating a performance contract.
