We are at a pivotal moment in the electric vehicle (EV) revolution. Demand for electric vehicles now outpaces fossil fuel vehicles. Yet the complexities around charging remain a major barrier to wide-scale EV adoption. This session will explore innovative solutions and operational practices related to EV adoption. Subject matter experts will discuss a case study of the Federal Energy Management Program’s (FEMP) electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) Tiger Teams and how they can help agencies with EVSE site assessments as they did at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. We will discuss the latest ways to integrate DC fast charging and vehicle-to-grid advances into fleet solutions. Lastly, we will explore how the electric grid may be impacted when implementing large-scale EVSE projects.
