A properly operating HVAC system will have a positive impact on a host of issues facing federal agencies: efficiently using energy and water resources; reducing carbon footprint by reducing energy consumption; maintain indoor air quality (IAQ) standards to support a healthy workplace. This training session will introduce attendees to emerging HVAC technologies for use in their facilities and will use a variety of case studies to share how facility managers have addressed these issues through advanced HVAC technologies.
Speakers will include both Federal managers and technology developers.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this session attendees will:
- Recognize the breadth of new HVAC technologies available to facilities to help them address needs;
- Demonstrate a detailed understanding of bipolar ionization technology and the pros/cons of its deployment;
- Recognize new HVAC filter technology and its performance in the Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP) program; and
- Identify HVAC technologies and how they impact energy issues.
